Mi Geranio y yo. ~ My geranium and I

Nature has begun to reconcile with the completion of another cycle under the universe. The leaves of my backyard trees have begun to change since few days ago. Every day some of them fall slowly to the ground forming a small rug of many colors.

Not all my plants are aware of this change, though. My small geranium continue providing its most amazing colors within its limited space. It has been blooming its bright dark red flowers continuingly since the beginning of summer and still are even today. In awe I watch its innocence, content with what it is: a small flora creature from warm climates, from the bright and exuberant tropics. So it continues to produce unaware of its displacement.

I brought it in two days ago and placed it in a corner of my living room. I caressed its leaves gently letting it know that we are two immigrants living in this far away land, but two of us,  together after all.

While the leaves continue to fall outside and the days keep changing, my geranium and I may reconcile within to let another winter pass on, once again, finding perfect balance and assimilation.

Ella brillara siempre.
Feliz Cumpleaños querido hermano hasta siempre :))

TODOS HABLARON
Julio René Lemus

Un día
ofrecí amor
ame y luche con fuerza
y me dijeron hipócrita.

Otro día
perdone, librándome
de mi orgullo
y me creyeron tonto.

No hace mucho
quise guardar las armas,
por estar cansado de luchar
y me gritaron...cobarde.

Mas cuando quise protestar
todos me dieron las espalda.

Mañana
pasare
sin volver
a ver

A beautiful quote I like/Una cita que me encanto

"To love at all is to be vulnerable.  Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken.  If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even an animal.  Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness.  But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change.  It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. "--C.S. Lewis

Lewis

THE COCOON

A BEAUTIFUL STORY I JUST READ:

The Cocoon

Along a dusty road in India there sat a beggar who sold cocoons. A young boy watched him day after day, and the beggar finally beckoned to him.
"Do you know what beauty lies within this chrysalis? I will give you one so you might see for yourself. But you must be careful not to handle the cocoon until the butterfly comes out."

The boy was enchanted with the gift and hurried home to await the butterfly. He laid the cocoon on the floor and became aware of a curious thing. The butterfly was beating its fragile wings against the hard wall of the chrysalis until it appeared it would surely perish, before it could break the unyielding prison. Wanting only to help, the boy swiftly pried the cocoon open.

Out flopped a wet, brown, ugly thing which quickly died. When the beggar discovered what had happened, he explained to the boy "In order for the butterfly wings to grow strong enough to support him, it is necessary that he beat them against the walls of his cocoon. Only by this struggle can his wings become beautiful and durable. When you denied him that struggle, you took away from him his only chance of survival."

May the walls of your cocoon be just thick enough to allow you to struggle just long enough to emerge the beautiful person I already know you to be.

THE PASSING OF A LOVED ONE

Mind and heart don't always agree to work together in an unison purpose to provide balance to the soul. It simple doesn't work that way. Instead, they pull apart in separate directions, contradicting each other. And there you are, perfectly still in the middle, listening to both arguments, contemplating your options. The sensible YOU agrees infinitely with your noble heart while conscious and mind are screaming in warning signs.

I can count many logical reasons, all in a perfect, organized, parallel order that will make perfect sense on why this was to pass, why I shouldn't be sad, why the passing of my step-father 3 nights ago was something awaiting for to happen, nature taking its course. After all we all know, the one sure thing in life we can be certain of its death. He was a 71 years old, diabetic and very ill; suffering from an amputation caused by agent orange during the Vietnam and Cambodia Wars.

And so, I take my long list of reasons which will protect me from sadness and pain. I show it to my achy heart and read it out loud: once and once again. Nevertheless, It only works for few moments. I cant stop feeling sad. I have to try, Christmas is almost here, there is laughter everywhere and I need to smile for me and my family. But for now, I just want to be sad for a little longer.

Whereof, what is PAST is PROLOGUE.....Shakespeare

Whereof, what is PAST is PROLOGUE.....Shakespeare

by Patty Lemus Robertson on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 9:50pm
Recently I've read a small, beautiful novel. The bitter-sweet story of a young woman who is struggling all her life to find solace, inner peace seemed to jumped out of the pages. When she was a young child while playing with her little friends by the banks of a river on a sunny summer afternoon a little one slipped down the river and the wind whispered: Good bye.

18 years later, the character of this book still struggles with guilty feelings of neglect being the older one around, until some sudden events begin to heal her heart.

How many times in our lives we find ourselves stopped at the end of a road; confused, upset, without direction; unwilling to move forward just because of unresolved issues which our subconscious protective mind is desperate to tacked away deep inside?

And you feel tired until, something, someone, comes to the rescue. One truth remains unchangeable: We got to conquer the past before we can conquer our future. And so, when you feel small, as a fragile vessel in the waters of life; make the decision: be honest to yourself and search deep inside your soul. Then, embark yourself on a special trip to your past in order to heal.
